Graduate Profile

The curriculum for the Karawitan Arts Study Program Faculty of Performing Arts ISI Denpasar as an implementation of the study program’s vision and mission is reflected in the graduate profile. The profile of graduates of the Karawitan Arts Study Program have the main ability or competence as assessors, creators, and presenters of musical arts according to the IQF 6. Assessment graduates of the Karawitan Arts Study Program are able to apply various theories in solving various musical art phenomena critically, contextually, and interdisciplinary. The reviewers are competent as researchers, curators, critics and consultants of karawitan art. Art creators graduated from the Karawitan Arts Study Program are able to create musical compositions: traditional karawitan, innovation karawitan, contemporary music, and digital music compositions, as well as karawitan for other purposes (dance, theater, ballet, film music illustrations). Presenters graduated from the Karawitan Art Study Program are able to present/play musical works of classical, traditional, modern and contemporary styles.

In addition to these three main competencies, graduates of the Karawitan Art Study Program also have additional competencies as coaches and entrepreneurs. The coach acts as an instructor, teacher, and trainer for musical arts. Entrepreneurs act as business managers/owners: gamelan tuners and/or providers of musical instruments/equipment; art studio/community, both production and performance. The intended graduate profile is attached to graduates of the Karawitan Arts Study Program with a Bachelor of Arts degree (S.Sn).
